Le Mans 2007 review

The famous 24 hour motor race at Le Mans has proved to be a major development for the company this year. In 2006 we had just 3 entries with a range of our products which were either water radiators or oil coolers, this year we had components on 12 entries spread over all group classes in the race, this was a fantastic achievement over a 12 month period. Out of these 12 entries we also had 9 cars that finished the event.

The most successful class was undoubtly the Aston Martin DBR9 in the GT1 class with all 6 cars entered finishing the race with the Prodrive entry winning the class overall. This was Aston Martin first victory here since 1959, all the DBR9 factory and private running very competively and all using product manufactured by NAR.

One of the great stories of this years race was the 4th place overall of the privately entered Rollcentre Pescorola which split the mighty Audi and Peugeot factory teams with massive multi million pound budgets. The Rollcentre car was very successfully cooled during the race by NAR water radiators. This was also our first time for product on an LMP1 car.

We also had entries in LMP2 which was the Kruse motor sport Pescorola and in GT2 product was on the 430 Ferrari and Spyker Squadron entries. We have taken great pleasure in our success at this years race but want to provide more teams and more cars for this area of motor sport and we have taken away with us what we have learned from the teams to continue to provide an ever improving and evolving product.
